Yamagata Prefectural Folk Museum “Bunsho-kan”

Bunsho-kan is a British Renaissance-style brick building consisting of the former prefectural office building and former prefectural parliament building built in 1916. It has been designated as a national important cultural property as valuable architectural remains and is now open to the public for free as Yamagata Prefectural folk museum. In the museum there is an exhibition room that introduces the history and culture of Yamagata, as well as records on the restoration of the building.
